17:00-17:30 Royal Children Hospital (Just to see inside the building)
-A very famous children's hospital not only for Peanut allergy. The place is near Melbourne zoo and University of Melbourne. I want to work here and do some research on peanut allergy in the future.
18:00-21:00 David and Adriana's house
-David is Michael and Joan's son. He is a very big man and likes Japan. His wife, Adriana is a wonderful women; she makes virtual reality video! I was lucky to watch her new work and it was funtastic, my new experience. Their children, Chalrotte and Max are very cute. I hope I'll show them around Tokyo when they come.
1/2 Melbourne Museum and St Kilda beach
I did a lot of things today. As follows.
1.Went to school and did a speaking test.
2.Visit Melbourne Museum
3.Bought a pendant at museum shop
4.Went to St Kilda beach by tram.
5.Just entered Luna Park, an amusement park.
6.Ate a big hamburger
1.Went to school as usual
In speaking class, Rebecca took me and Marina, my partner, out of the classroom and assessed our speaking ability in a role play. I usually could speak well, but today, I got a bit nervous and couldn't speak properly. The role play situation was to persuade a patient who had a viral infection to take a rest and to refuse to prescribe antibiotics which she wanted because it wouldn't work in her situation. What I could mentioned was only about side effects of taking antibiotics. I lost my confidence. However, the exam is comming, so I'll do my best by increasing English vocabularies and learning about common diseases in Australia.
2.Visit Melbourne museum
I had thought that it would not be worth visiting before I visited there today because we also had a great museum in Tokyo. However, Melbourne museum was much wonderful. Firstly, I didn't have to pay entrance fee because I'm a student. Secondly, the way of exhibiting impressed me; the explanation on the board was very informative and easy to understand and we can also watch the explanations video by the professionals working there.
There are two exhibitions which interested me. One is a walking whale, an ancestor of a dolphin and whales. The other is Pallasite, a kind of irony stone meteorites, which is composed of iron and olivine.
3.Bought a pendant at museum shop
I really liked the museum and it made me buy an ammonite pendant as a souvenir at the museum shop. It's about 20 dollars.
4.Went to St Kilda beach by tram.
5.Just entered Luna Park, an amusement park.
6.Ate a big hamburger
31/1 How to spend time after school
After classes, I did writing tasks for OET, which is the exam I will take in February. It's a very good idea to study in the school because I can ask any questions to Rebecca whenever I want to confirm my English to be right.
(She is very kind and cute. I'd like to take a picture with her.)
Some of the classmates stayed in the school to practice speaking tasks; they are highly motivated. I will work together tomorrow.
I was feeling well, so I took a detour.
Imax theater
Royal Exhibition Building
Hotel Windsor
Ice cream shop, I should buy one before I leave here.
KOKO BLACK. I tried a pice of mango flavored chocolate and it was very very good!!
Expensive shopping street. I will buy clothes in the near future when I come back here as a doctor!
Around 6pm, I got to home and had a dinner.
As you can imagine from these pictures, it was very nice.
30/1 Monday
Normally Susan teach us on Monday, but our teacher was Rebeca today. I don't no the reason.
In the lunch time, a classmate gave me a bite of her pasta. She is a nurse from Manila and is very good at cooking; I have eaten her spring rolls and they were also yummy. I might like Filipino food.
After classes, I finished my homework at school, and got an pineapple and lemon flavored ice cream at Flinders Station. It was a bit expensive (3 dollars) but I enjoyed.
When I came home, Joan was just making a dinner, and the kitchen smelled delicious.
29/1 Saw a lot of Australian animals!
On Sunday, Joan and Michael took me to Heales village, where is famous for Heales village sanctuary and wines.
We left home at 10am after I did my laundry, and arrived there at 11:30am. Though it's a bit early for a lunch, we ate pies and got some serious coffee at a very famous bread shop, called 'Beechworth Bakery'.
Of course, they were all yummy!
After lunch, we went to the sanctuary.
(The place was very huge; Joan has difficulty walking, so we used a wheelchair.)
Since we had been in the sun for a long time and got tired, we took some rest at an executive club lounge near there. I ordered a glass of wine; it was very nice.
On the way home, we got some fruits.
Today's dinner. This might be more delicious than that of Clinton Street Baking Company or Sarabeth's in NY.
As usual we played Rummikub after dinner, watching the final game of AO.
It finished at about 23:30, and that's why I was sleepy on Monday.
28/1
As usual, I went to the nearest library. I usually get on a tram, but today, I got on a train for a change.
It was a good idea. I could see a lot of shops and buildings I've ever seen; there was also a fresh market on the way.
The library was closed at 5pm.
After studying, I went to Woolworth, a supermarket, to buy Tim tams and HARIBO.
Today's dinner was salmon cream pasta, and the sweat was apple crumble.
Note(25/1-27/1)
(I'm too lazy to write about what happened to me on each days)
25/1
I was very sleepy, so I tried 7-11's coffee. What is nice is they have a lot of kind of coffee, such as latte and espresso, and cheaper than Japan.
I'll try another one soon.
After school, I found the Opal museum in Swanston St. It's for free and I'm a mineral lover; there were no reason to pass on.
There was also a shop, but I didn't buy anything because I felt fully satisfied by seeing beautiful opals.
Near the museum, I found an outlet store. I tried a lot of clothes on.
I liked this, and bought it.
I had thought "What a lucky day today!" before I dropped my iPhone, and the screen shattered....
I went to a repair shop, where a Chinese librarian in the city library recommended me. It cost $90 and I could get repaired iPhone in only 10 minutes. That's nice.
After I came home I phoned my mother and talked for more than an hour. She is a great English speaker, so we spoke in English.
26/1
No school because of Australia Day, a public holiday in Australia. There were a lot of events in the city, and many people enjoyed the day. However, I felt unwell and also had to study for USMLE, so I stayed home all day. What a pitty....
(Lunch)
(Dinner, one of my favorite foods)
27/1
Since I felt not well in the morning, I took a bus from the central station. Coincidentally, Susan, my teacher, was on the same bus.
After school, I bought a Maccha drink at the food court in a station building and studied there. I couldn't concentrate on studying ; I think I'm a bit tired.
Today's dinner was chicken and vegetables. As usual, it was delicious.
