Peanut allergy

Today, I made small talk with Susan.

I told her about my sister and her sever peanut allergy, since she asked me what I was interested in. My sister has to avoid them completely, leading to a lifetime of checking every food label before a meal.:(

As it happens, Susan also had a peanut allergy when she was a toddler. She told me how she overcame her peanut allergy.

Her mother used to put a  small amount of peanut butter on Susan's lip. The amount was increased gradually, and finally this drastic treatment succeeded. (⚠️Immuno therapy without the presence of physician is extremely dangerous. She could have been killed by her mother.)

Her interesting story reminded me a study led by Professor Gideon Lack at King’s College London.
